Attorney General praises Waterloo Legal Advice Service on pro bono week
As part of national pro bono week in October, the Attorney General for England and Wales, Dominic Grieve QC, MP, visited the Waterloo Legal Advice Service at Waterloo Action centre. WLAS is a free legal advice service for lambeth residents which has been running for nearly 40 years. 20-30 lawyers are on hand to give advice every Thursday evening and around 60 members of the public are helped each week.
The Attorney General, Dominic Grieve QC MP said: " Waterloo Legal Advice Service honours the best traditions of the legal profession's commitment to provide access to justice for all, and is making a real difference in the community. I am very much in admiration of the dedication and hard work of all those who give up their own time, to serve their communities for free and provide help to so many people."
